Planned Parenthood Says Clinics Receive $60 Per Fetus

More people are paying attention to Planned Parenthood’s government funding following a series of undercover videos. Earnest said he had not, and that he had only seen the snippets that were broadcasted on television through news coverage.

The undercover videos of Planned Parenthood released by the Center for Medical Progress have been a game-changer.

Planned Parenthood said forensic experts found more than 40 instances where the video was spliced. Fetal tissue donation for research purposes is legal in Texas, but profiting from donations is not. The leaders could combine Planned Parenthood provisions with language repealing parts of the Affordable Care Act into a package that, under reconciliation procedures, would require only a simple majority of members.

However, that narrow bit of information ignores that Planned Parenthood physicians perform the clinical exams that lead to referrals for a mammogram or other specialized breast care…That puts the claim in the realm that won’t make either side happy: partially accurate but misleading without additional details.

A congressional investigation into the harvest and sale of baby parts is needed and removal of federal support for Planned Parenthood is urged.

Planned Parenthood said in a statement that it will ask a judge next week for a preliminary injunction to block the action by Bentley.

Planned Parenthood, joined in the suit by the American Civil Liberties Union, said in court filings that Alabama’s Republican governor illegally terminated its contract to provide health services under Medicaid, a federal and state healthcare program for the poor.

A recent Alabama Department of Health inspection report of the Mobile Planned Parenthood location, part of Planned Parenthood Southeast, revealed startling details of unsanitary conditions and failure to report the possible sexual abuse of a 14-year-old young woman who received two abortions at the clinic within a space of four months. But considering that Williams was either too lazy to do his research on Planned Parenthood, or too invested in protecting the abortion giant, the person who is acting as a bad journalist in this situation is Williams.

Abbott spokesman John Wittman said Abbott was not calling for a special session to discuss the package, despite some pressure from anti-abortion groups. The Center for Medical Progress is based in California, and several of the videos were shot there.

It is inaccurate to say that “unedited” videos or transcripts have been released by this group, since no source footage has ever been provided. Boehner feels that some Democrats may come with the GOP to cut off Planned Parenthood’s funding if the process played out to its conclusion. But by that time, Planned Parenthood, which does so much valuable work in so many areas of health care for women, will have gone the way of ACORN.
