Donald Trump recently signed a pledge not to run third party should he not secure the Republican nomination for president. But after a Trump event at the tower on Thursday, a protester scuffled with a member of Trump’s security detail in a brief altercation that highlighted divisions between the candidate and Hispanics.
When questioned by reporters at the scene, those in KKK costume said they were making a sarcastic statement against Trump’s “racist”, anti-immigrant platform.
And they carried a sign that parodied Trump’s ubiquitous campaign slogan: “Make America racist again“.
‘We need to spread the philosophy of the Aztec people!’ one of the protesters yelled.
The confrontation turned violent when a bodyguard allegedly seized a sign “Make America Racist Again”.
