Aid ship arrives in war-torn south Yemen port carrying food
It’s the fifth vehicle bomb attack against the Shiite Houthi group since June in Sanaa by the ISIS.

Yemeni president-in-exile Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi on Monday appointed a new governor of the war-torn country’s southern Aden province three days after his supporters retook it from the Shia Houthi militia.
The rebels seized Sanaa in September. Aden was controlled by the Houthis since March.

“The government will work to normalize life in Aden governorate and the rest of the liberated cities, restore infrastructure, including Aden’s worldwide airport and seaports, and secure the return of the displaced”, a government source said.
Transport Minister Badr Basalmeh said the two consignments sent by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amounted to 7,000 tonnes of food and pharmaceutical aid. They (the rebels) want to terrorize us and drive us out. He said the rebels were dragged to a local cemetery, shot and buried in one hole. He too spoke on condition of anonymity as he wasn’t authorized to speak to journalists.
Reports suggest that Houthi-affiliated Popular Committees have actively been recruiting fighters, including children, who have been posted across the towns.
In rebel-controlled Sanaa, a auto bombing near a Shiite mosque on Monday claimed by the Islamic State jihadist group killed four people, the Shiite rebels said. American officials initially expressed skepticism that the affiliate existed, as Yemen is also home to the world’s most risky al-Qaida offshoot.
Fighters said they were advancing towards the Anad air base 60 km (40 miles) north of Aden with backing from air strikes.
“It’s the first WFP chartered ship to berth in the port since the conflict erupted in late March”, spokesman Peter Smerdon said.
On Tuesday, the UAE said an officer in its armed forces was killed in coalition operations, without giving details.
