Aidan Gillen lands new role as super villian
During its Gamescom press conference in Germany, Microsoft announced that Quantum Break, from the makers of Max Payne and Alan Wake, will hit the Xbox One on April 5, 2016. I love a good time travel story, and Quantum Break features some unique elements blended with staples that make it look like it will be pretty gripping.
Jack Joyce, Quantum Break’s main protagonist, will acquire these powers by progressing through the game and these powers will grow stronger through the course of the game. Ashmore took the role of lead character Jack Joyce in “Quantum Break“.
Shawn Ashmore (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Aiden Gillen (Game of Thrones), Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Lance Reddick (Fringe) and Amelia Rose Blair (True Blood) have all been cast. The game and TV show might have some similarities to “Lost“, since there will be various seemingly sci-fi mysterious events happening and people might be presented bouncing around in time and space. Players will get to understand the heroes more as they move forward in the game, as well as identify the villains along the way.
While the game that has gotten the most talk at this year’s Gamescom has been Scalebound, there is another Xbox One exclusive that is quite the up and comer in Quantum Break. The first is called Time Blast, this allows for a focused burst that will break up time with rather destructive results.
Time Stop: freezes time in a focused area, including opponents and objects.
