Amazon Tablets Will Be Hot Item This Christmas
The new Fire TV runs Amazon’s latest Fire OS 5, which includes 4K video support along with the company’s smart digital assistant Alexa.
For that more than manageable outlay you’re treated to a 7-inch 1020 x 600 display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, VGA front and 2MP rear cameras, and a microSD port.
Amazon is promising the discount tablet will have decent processing power, good colour saturation and seven hours of battery life.
Along with the updated tablets, the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV stick also received upgrades.
Undoubtedly, the Amazon Fire is as entry-level as it gets, but the true highlight of the slate is its price tag. There’s also a £100 “Kids Edition” with thick rubberised case for added durability.
The Fire tablet will be available from Amazon, Dixons, John Lewis, Argos and Tesco, and will start shipping on 30 September. The company announced a new Fire tablet, new Fire HD tablet models, and a new Fire Kids Edition tablet as well as a new Fire TV model and new Fire TV Gaming Edition. The Fire HD is Amazon’s thinnest tablet yet, at 7.7mm, and and features two stereo speakers and an HD display with over 1 million pixels and 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio.
After seeing the fourth-generation Apple TV for the first time last week, it’s hard not to look at Amazon’s updated set-top box as a direct reaction to Apple. As a result, the majority of Fire TV customers will now get to experience high-quality, 1080p TV shows and movies from Amazon Video.
USA online retail giant has launched today its very economical Fire Tablet. If your kid breaks it, they’ll replace it for free for up to 2 years with no questions asked. With the Amazon Video app the new device will use the H265 codec to practically halve the bandwidth necessary to stream 1080p content. Instead it makes money down the line when customers use tablets or TVs to buy Amazon content, apps, or physical products through Amazon’s store.
The Gaming bundle includes a controller and two free games. It will be available October 5th starting at $139.99.
