American Airlines to carry Pope on U.S. tour

American last carried a pope, John Paul II, in 1993, flying him from Denver to Rome. The situation in Palestine-Israel is among the topics that the pope is expected to discuss with the president, and perhaps in his address to Congress as well.

At 9:20 AM, the Senate and the House will welcome Pope Francis in a joint session.

Thursday could be the most politically significant day of his trip, with the first-ever joint address to Congress by a pontiff.
