Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards Coming in October but with a Difference
If you missed recent announcements, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is an upcoming 3DS game that (obviously) takes place in the Animal Crossing universe with a focus on interior (and exterior) design.
According to the Nintendo of Norway website (via Eurogamer), one card from each pack will be a “special” one – although it’s now unknown what the publisher means by this. These will unlock new in-game items while adding a cheaper and more expansive pile of collectibles to the ever-growing amiibo fanbase.
The Amiibo packs will arrive at the same time as Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and that is October 2, 2015.
What is slightly confusing about the European release is why the packs will only hold three cards.
Packs will contain six cards each in North America.
Nintendo of Europe has put a final number on the Animal Crossing Amiibo card collection.
There is no pricing information available yet for the USA or United Kingdom, but the Japanese packs will cost around 300 yen.
Animals will ask players to design houses for them, and it’s up to them to meet the animals’ requests by furnishing and decorating their homes.
What are your thoughts on the difference between the Japan, U.S. and Europe release?
