Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Watch Sales Forecasts Lowered on ASE’s Earnings Call
Perhaps Apple’s watch time has come, according to a new survey.
Best Buy will begin to offer the Apple Watch in more than a hundred U.S. retail stores on August 7. Customers will be capable of “really feel and try-on” the system in 20 shops.
Just like in the US, Best Buy Canada will offer 16 variants of the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport for users to try on and buy in-store. Apple Watch’s default apps are designed to interact with their iPhone counterparts, such as e-mail, phone, Calendar, Messages, Maps, Music, Photo, Remote (which controls iTunes and Apple TV) and Wallet.
Apple also confirmed Best Buy Canada’s announcement in a separate statement.
Before the year ends, 200 other Best Buy stores will carry the Apple Watch.
“Customers love Apple Watch, and we are thrilled to begin offering it at Best Buy …”
The Apple Watch Edition (the one that’s gold and costs $10,000+) will not be available.
So, when the Apple Watch was released in April there was a huge gap between demand and supply, which meant that customers had to wait up to several weeks until getting their order.
A couple of weeks back, Fortune compiled a list of 27 analyst estimates, showing the difference in the opinion when it comes to Apple Watch. And as the earlier figures demonstrate, she’s clearly had some successes executing on Tim Cook’s mission to sell more products through Apple Stores.
It was only on June 4, 2015 that Apple announced it will stock its stores with the Apple Watch. And that’s a positive for Apple going into the seasonally heavy holiday season.
Although Entner acknowledged the pent-up demand, he said many analysts’ longer-term predictions were “very, very high”. Meanwhile, Li isn’t the first analyst to suggest that Apple Watch sales are sluggish. “When you look at the watch market, the price point doesn’t give itself to selling that many – at least not initially”.
