Apple seeds fourth betas for iOS 9 and watchOS 2.0
As Apple continues to develop watchOS 2.0 for Apple Watch ahead of its release this fall, the company has released watchOS 2 beta 4 to registered developers today for testing the operating system update on Apple Watch.
This beta release follows iOS 9’s beta 3 rollout last July 8.
Developers should find the update on their iPhones and Macs now. Additionally, the updated software comes with a rebuilt Notes app, improvements to Siri and search, and a split-screen dual-app for multitasking on the iPad.
Apple upset a significant portion of its user base (case in point: the excellent email below) when it disabled Home Sharing for iOS devices in iOS 8.4.
Meanwhile, OS X 10.11 El Capitan is the next major version of OS X that will also be available to consumers in the coming months. It’s available to download over-the-air or through Apple’s Developer Center.
In the meantime the latest beta of iOS 9 introduces some changes and fixes to the previous betas, like getting some features to work and changing some icon colors.
