Backward compatibility, Windows 10 hit XO in November
Considering the latest developments, reasons for keeping an Xbox 360 are dwindling, and with backward compatibility and other cool features like over the air DVR, the Xbox One could become an all-in-one entertainment system for Microsoft users.

The Game Drive for Xbox is a 2 TB hard drive designed in partnership with Microsoft, aimed at making it as easy as possible to expand the console’s storage. Besides free TV DVR, Microsoft also announced a brand new accessory coming to Xbox One, and it has also been requested by Xbox One owners. Using the Xbox app in Windows 10, all recorded TV shows can be streamed to Windows 10 devices. Though, this also means that moving from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One will involve one crucial step: backing up the old saved games in order to move them to the new console.
Also noted by Microsoft is the ability to utilize Smartglass apps on Windows devices to remotely schedule recordings, you know in case you abruptly remember at work. It’s a smart move, and one that directly benefits the fans without asking them to fork out more to play games they already own.
