Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver made the case to the New York Times on Wednesday that the strength of Sanders’ fundraising operation means he’s well-positioned to compete across the country. With just a few hours left in the day, he emailed supporters, “Chip in $3 before the midnight FEC deadline as a way of saying you have had enough of the billionaire class buying our elections”.
