Black woman SLAMS hypocrisy of black lives matter protestors
And she says, “Hey, all bones matter”.
Hubbard, who grew up in St. Louis and lives across the river in Illinois, recorded the first video after the August 20 protests in Fountain Park.
She believes the demonstrators are marching for the wrong people.
On Wednesday night, protesters marched for an 18-year-old shot and killed by police in St. Louis.
In a video that went viral, Hubbard discusses the focus of recent demonstrations.
This is a transcript of the six minute video.
“A little girl is dead”, she says.
Rashad Turner, an organizer with Black Lives Matter in St. Paul, called the federation’s event “a knee-jerk reaction” and said his marchers will disrupt traffic but have no plans to enter the Fairgrounds.
Black Lives Matter has been pressing 2016 presidential candidates from both parties to meet with members of the group. “Her vision mattered. She could have been the next secretary of state…. she never got her chance”. It mattered. My mother knew what the problems were and she shielded me and my brother from them. One time, a man on a bike chased her for two blocks in Columbia Heights, trying to make sexual advances on her. Black people, you’re a f***ing joke. Because they’re hollering police brutality. There is police brutality out there. I will give you that. Black on black murder. “Bailing out criminals and thugs”. Bailing out criminals and thugs. They can’t be plumbers, electricians, or even barbers or hairdressers, and I think that is something that we can change.
At one point, Hubbard reveals she has her own “kid locked up”.
“I can’t imagine being here without them”, Whitney said. I am a black mother. Are you f***ing kidding me? It’s like having a big brother or sister watching over you all of the time. I am not coming to visit you. And you and I have been on CNN; you’ve been on Fox and other networks talking about it for years – and only at 30 seconds left – sorry.
Lemon also pointed out how “critics [are] calling you everything but a child of God”. He ends the essay by writing, “There are many things to be angry about when you are consumed by hopelessness”.
“I was just venting, I put it on my own page”. Queer and transgender women, the protesters emphasized at the rally, have been at the forefront of the Black Lives Matter fight nationwide.
Hubbard goes on to say: “You’re shooting at the police”. That happens, just like white people kill white people. We cannot expect them to suddenly feel our pain and champion our causes. But, the high road is where I need to stay. Last night we had another homicide … and we’re saying black lives matter. We should salute the efforts of the Black Lives Matter organization. That is the truth of the reality. “Then we return to Trayvon Martin and go all the way up to Baltimore”. You broke the law. They should be able to threaten cops with a gun, they should be able to steal without fear of arrest. You’re yelling “F” the police.
Your local police department doesn’t need military equipment and armored vehicles. The group also wants to reduce the standard of proof for federal civil rights investigations of police officers.
“People who aren’t interested aren’t going to stop at a booth”, he said.
“Do you think the police are out here for fun?” They drop your ass. You shoot at them and they’re going to shoot at you.
