Campaign’s Glare Greets Obama Visit
WASHINGTON (AP) – Presidential candidates are a common sight in Iowa as the 2016 campaign intensifies. But the White House hopefuls are now seeing competition from the man they’re running to succeed. On Monday, he announced that students applying for federal financial aid will be able to submit the required form – the FAFSA – in October, rather than later in January.

President Obama did a little bit of politics during his Monday visit to Iowa but indicated he is still waiting before jumping all the way in.
“As an educator myself, I know Iowa reached this incredible achievement by empowering families and local leaders, not bureaucrats in D.C.”, Kaufman said.

For Obama, keeping a Democrat in the White House could be crucial to the longevity of numerous actions he’s taken while in office. He has spoken highly of Clinton, his former secretary of state, and of his loyal Vice President Joe Biden, who is weighing whether to make a late entry into the race.
He also made a strong statement against “anti-immigration sentiment” he’s heard from 2016 presidential candidates, saying it “runs counter to who we are”.
