Curfew lifted from remaining 6 areas of Ahmedabad; violence free Guj
Several persons were killed in police firing in different parts of the state.
The army is being deployed in violence-hit Ahmedabad and a flag march will be carried out soon, an army spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Yesterday, curfew was lifted from three areas of the city (Naranpura, Ghatlodia and Vadaj), Desai said. In view of the festival of Rakshabandhan, shops as well as other business establishments remained open today with people flocking the markets.
No major incident of violence was reported since Thursday.
A police officer said mobile Internet services would be turned back on only after the situation has calmed down and everything returns to normal, as local Indian news outlet NDTV reports.
Ahmedabad Commissioner of Police Shivanand Jha said curfew will continue in areas under the jurisdiction of nine police stations even on Wednesday night.
