DeAngelo Williams’ daughters pose with powerful sign supporting father
Williams told ESPN that he was very disappointed by the NFL’s mandate. Marshawyn Lynch famously escaped a fine for his appearance at an National Football League press conference sporting a hat by his own brand, “Beast Mode”, because the hat was “given to him by an National Football League licencee and was in team colours”.
But Williams, the type of role model the National Football League use to gain a few positive PR, has found a way to raise awareness without getting fined.
By now, you already know about Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams’ request to wear pink uniform accoutrements throughout the season in honor of his mother, who died of breast cancer a year ago. ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared a photo on Twitter of Williams’ daughters wearing black sweatshirts with pink lettering which said “My Daddy” with No. 34 below as they held up signs with two different messages. “The National Football League can not fine us”. “For me it’s not just a month, it’s a lifestyle”.
This year to date, players have been fined about ,000 specifically for uniform infractions.
