Debate Shatters Fox News Ratings Record, Trump Feels Heat
Will Donald Trump act like Donald Trump or try to be “presidential?”
Fox had attracted attention prior to the debate for deciding to include 10 of the 17 declared candidates in the prime-time debate.
Trump’s refusal to rule out a potential third party candidacy has raised eyebrows in both parties. “Only Rosie O’Donnell”, Trump interrupted, eliciting laughter and applause from the Republican audience. He was self-aggrandizing, relentlessly nonspecific and dismissive of anyone who dared to contradict him.

The Republicans will host at least eight more debates as the party whittles down its broad field and determines its flagbearer to go up against likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
The winners: Points for Hillary Clinton, Twitter, possibly America.
I watched the debate at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland with a crowd of true-believer conservatives at a viewing party sponsored by the American Conservative Union. Many of them were made about O’Donnell, according to Vox.
It appears Trump still doesn’t understand if the other candidates made similar remarks in the past, they would be getting those same questions, too. But this approach was much more interesting and revealing.

She delivered the night’s best zinger when she asked Mr Trump, who has donated to Democrats in the past: “When did you actually become a Republican?”
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Florida Sen.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was put on the spot about lagging job creation in his home state. When speaking to Stephanopoulos, Trump said he didn’t think the debate was fair. He wasn’t bad, by any means, but he wasn’t impressive, either. But there were questions last night about whether the sexy commentator could turn up the heat with hard-hitting questions. I was also impressed by Gov. Kasich (a relatively unknown contender outside the debate venue).
Ted Cruz. The senator from Texas showed his skills as a debater, though he didn’t get many opportunities to engage with rivals on the crowded stage.
