Donald Trump: US women use menstruation to mock presidential hopeful on Twitter
The former star of The Apprentice also repeated his pledge to consider running as a third-party candidate should he lose the Republican nomination.
And Trump told Face the Nation on Sunday that he’d be “phenomenal to women”.
“I don’t think he’s offensive at all. And everybody’s a senior adviser and a long-time adviser”.
“Oh really“, Trump wrote, telling his Twitter followers to check out the “innocent” discussion and adding that “I am the innocent (pure) one!” He’s confident his straight talk is exactly what the voters want, and the latest poll from Mitchell Research and Communications shows he just might be right.
Trump said, “I mean, I want to run as a Republican“.
He’s leading Republican presidential primary polls in Iowa and New Hampshire despite clashing with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly during and after last week’s prime-time debate – which drew a record-breaking audience of 24 million, for which Trump is taking credit. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came in the third spot with 10 percent support. I assured him that we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness and balance. “We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared”, said Ailes, a former Republican operative.
Kelly responded to the controversy on her show, The Kelly File, on Tuesday, saying that, “I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism”. Despite the appeals, campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said that Mr Trump will continue to finance the campaign, but has “been overwhelmed by unsolicited contributions”. “Sure, I would spend that if I am doing well!”
“It sounds like she feels like she made a mistake”.
Now, women around the United States have been using the hashtag, #periodsarenotaninsult, which aims to tell Donald that his comments about Fox News host were totally uncalled for.
Trump attributed the détente to a phone call from Fox News chief Roger Ailes the day before.
“Donald Trump and I spoke today”, Ailes said in a statement released by the network Monday night, reported Politico.
“It’s not about that”.
“It’s true! No, I gave them that!” Don’t be a deviant!-we have to ask that you not rename your period.
“Those people that put up the money, those are not people that are not expecting big, big things”.
He reiterated that “I have no problems” with Fox. The head of the influential conservative website RedState dropped Trump from the publication’s event over the weekend, and much of the GOP field criticised his remarks.
“I said what I said“.
