Dozens protest at Lakeland Planned Parenthood, part of national protests

Through a nation-wide effort, pro-life advocates gathered at the East Madison Planned Parenthood facility to protest the organization’s alleged use and sale of fetal parts.

Tammy Lieber, a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, said protests at the organization’s facilities are nothing new, adding that it had security measures in place.

“They are engaged in a fraud, and other claims they’ve made have been discredited and disproven”, said Eric Ferrero, vice president of Planned Parenthood.

“We are trying to send a message to pregnant women that they have a life in them”, said Ryan Messano, spokesman for a group calling itself “Vallejo Citizens Concerned for Life”.

“I wasn’t planning on doing this, but I got educated through videos and some other means, and boy, I realized we need to do something about this”.

Kaylee Wolfe, a volunteer at Planned Parenthood of Portland, said “when you have to navigate, you know, a seven-foot sidewalk lined on both sides by people who are acting hostile towards you, I don’t think that’s right”.

Local event organizers estimated that more than 300 people attended the Red Bird protest, which started at 9 a.m. near Virginia Drive and Wheatland Road. The Pro-Life Action Team plans to fight Planned Parenthood in schools and also push back against businesses that support the organization, he said.

State Representative David Simpson was at the rally and believes abortion is murder. The videos show conversations of Planned Parenthood officials talking about aborted fetal organs it provided for research, according to McClufor.

“While Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast doesn’t now provide this service, it is a standard practice in the medical community”, Rochelle Tafolla, a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, which operates in Texas and Louisiana, previously told the Chronicle.

“PP cuts open babies heads with heart beating”, one said. “God developed this baby with no amniotic fluid in my body”.

“There is nothing we won’t do for them”, he said.

“Planned Parenthood had not received state funding in two years and Planend Parenthood does not sell tissue from abortions anywhere”.
