Galaxy A8 Hands-on Video: Samsung’s thinnest phone revealed | BGR
And while it could ultimately lead to nothing, it goes in line with rumors that Samsung is working on an extra large version of the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Samsung today announced the Canadian release date for the Gear VR Innovator Edition, a virtual reality headset that works in conjunction with its Galaxy S6 smartphone.
The purported Samsung device has already passed via the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) as well as China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, or TENAA, which means that customers will not have to wait long for the handset. The video showcases the thinness of the Galaxy A8 from all angles. More importantly, Milanesi goes on to say that the Galaxy S6 was the third best-selling smartphone during the three month period, after the iPhone 6 and the S6’s own predecessor, the S5. The octa-core Exynoss 7422 has four Cortex-A53 and four Cortex-A57 processors. According to Dutch-language smartphone blog and community Galaxy Club, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is likely to pair a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexacore System-on-Chip (SoC) with a display size that measures anywhere from 5.4 inches on up to 5.7 inches, up from the Galaxy S6 Edge’s 5.1-inch display.
The upcoming Samsung smartphone is estimated to have 16GB of internal storage with the option to expand using a microSD card.
A recent leak had also confirmed the size of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Despite launching on April 10, the Samsung Galaxy S6 only trails the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S5 in terms of American user adoption, but it is a different story across the pond. These specs make the A8 seems like much more of a flagship than a mid-range device; however, the rest of the spec sheet is average at best.
