Galaxy S6 Edge Plus To Launch With The Galaxy Note 5
Samsung is reportedly planning to release the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy Edge Plus in August rather than the traditional unveiling at IFA Berlin in September.
The S6 Edge+ will use Samsung’s Exynos 7420 SoC, according to SamMobile, and will feature 3 GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
As with its display, it is known by insiders that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED QHD touchscreen. This allowed Apple to promote its products aggressively over the Note 4, which only went on sale on October 17 although they were announced earlier on September 3. It’s also not the first time we’ve heard mention of an S6/Edge style phablet.
Hoping to buy a Chinese model and import it to the United States or Europe? This is, after all, still only speculation, regardless of how well sourced it may be.
Samsung needs to rejuvenate its sales and market share, which have taken a turn for the worse over the past year. The Note series is Samsung’s class-leading phablet, with a big screen, fast processor, powerful camera, and stylus to bring it all together.
The Galaxy Note 5 is also allegedly going to be offered in a variety of colors, with silver, gold, black and white options being available. Here in the U.S, we wouldn’t be surprised to see carriers slow things down. It’s unclear exactly how large it will be, but there’s a chance it will be around the same size as the Galaxy Note 5.
The interesting bit is the renders for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Galaxy Note 4 was equipped with 3GB of RAM that enables it to run exclusive features, like running two apps at the same time in split-screen mode. Will announcing too early have a negative impact on its holiday sales performance?
There are no reports yet regarding the possible specs of the Galaxy Note 5 Edge but as its name suggest, the device will probably sport a curved-edge design.
