Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle and Behind-the-Scenes Video Unveiled at
The “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” beta helped Microsoft fix multiple issues in the game.
The bundle above will be available from the Microsoft Store and select retailers at an ERP of £309.99.
The Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle will come with a 500GB Xbox One unit and all default accessories. In other words, you basically get the upcoming game for free as the package price is $350, which is what a new Xbox One console retails for at the moment.
What the bundle doesn’t include, though, is custom art. You’re just getting the standard black console and controller. John DiMaggio, the voice actor behind Gears’ protagonist Marcus Fenix, was even tapped to host the panel, which also offered an inside look at the game’s recreation process.
Executive Producer Rod Fergusson was involved when Epic Games first developed Gears of War, and his knowledge of why and how things were done originally serves as the baseline for the updates.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition was officially confirmed at E3 last month. He also explained that the mode exists because Gears 2 introduced a variety of new enemy types and without those different enemies in the first game, Horde Mode would feel super limited by comparison. The title, which will also be released for the PC will be running in 4K resolution with DX12 support. Instead, Microsoft says fans can use the additional week to pre-load the game ahead of launch. Every aspect of the game including lighting, environments, characters, and cinematic scenes have been beautifully recreated – this is the first at its best!
