Gears of War: Ultimate Edition cinematics dev diary
During a San Diego Comic-Con panel yesterday, Fergusson responded to a question about why Microsoft and The Coalition aren’t compiling all of the Gears games together, similar to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, according to Gamespot. However, the bundle is the new version of the console that includes the 3.5mm headset jack on the controller. Kinect for Xbox One can be purchased separately with a free copy of Dance Central Spotlight for $149.99 at just about any retailer.
“Gears of War” co-creator Rod Fergusson confirmed that Horde Mode will not be included in the “Ultimate Edition“.
Over to you Sony to try and match this with a console bundle and upcoming release for free – do you think they will do it? Multiplayer has also been suitably upgraded this time around as it now runs in 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second.
“Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” aims to offer the experience of the original game from the franchise and combine it with the current-generation graphics of the present.
During the latest E3 2015 press conference, Microsoft officially reported that the Ultimate Edition will be also launched to PC and it will run in 4K with DX12 support. Microsoft suggests that gamers use this week period to pre-install the game ready for launch day. Every aspect of the game including lighting, environments, characters, and cinematic scenes have been beautifully recreated – this is the first at its best!
Rather, the size of the game is on the higher side at 44.42GB if a listing on the Xbox Games Store is to be believed. Both Amazon and GameStop are already taking pre-orders for it.
