Hillary Clinton Makes ‘Saturday Night Live’ Cameo Opposite Kate McKinnon
The deep postgame analysis of Clinton’s skit included an NPR breakdown of how she addressed her problems with authenticity and elitism, the timing of her verdicts on Keystone XL and same-sex marriage, her onetime perceived nomination inevitability and her age.
The original Clinton was also seen to exhibit her best Donald Trump impression, which she’s known to do on the trail from time to time. “There were no references to questions about classified communications ending up on Clinton’s private email server, or about ethics issues related to the money raised and spent by the Clinton Foundation”. It’s no secret that the Democratic frontrunner has been trying to put forward her more personable self.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton points as she takes the stage before speaking to supporters at the Human Rights Campaign Breakfast in Washington on Saturday. McKinnon seemed confident in her answer. “Once taken, Abilify destroys the damaged part of the brain that says ‘I’m gonna be president!’ leading to an nearly immediate return to reality”.
Abedin leaves, and McKinnon orders another drink, commanding the bartender to “keep ’em coming”.
It revealed a slightly different perspective and made her learn something new about herself watching the two artists acting out their versions of Hillary Clinton. It acknowledges a mistake (in a way that’s far more believable and effective than your usual my major failing is that I sometimes work too hard for America faux-self-effacement).
“Oh, Val, I’m just so darn bummed”, McKinnon says to Clinton. “So I’m looking forward to spending the time with Kate”. So long as you forget a couple of jokes and that entire segment with Pope Francis happened, we feel like you are probably going to be happy in the end.
When Val asks McKinnon for an ID, she laughs and mentions her 1-year-old granddaughter.
“Somewhere in there!” McKinnon replies. “Well, you did it pretty soon”, Val says.
“Coulda been sooner”, McKinnon, an actress who is gay, pushes back with a wink.
Let’s face it: Donald Trump was a hot topic nearly all summer.
