Huawei Nexus 6P Leaks Out Ahead of Official Unveil
(The most recent Nexus 6, however, was done through a partnership with Motorola.) LG’s Nexus variant is code-named LG Angler and may be officially named Nexus 5X – though sometimes it’s been referred to simply as the Nexus 5 (2015).
Both smartphones will run on Google’s new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and this will be the first time that Huawei will be making a Nexus device.
The Google event takes place in San Francisco and is expected to showcase the Nexus 2015 models as well as Android Marshmallow. By “best seller” we mean it should also cost less, meaning that LG-made Nexus 5 (2015) or 5X will be a plastic clad beast.
We’ve seen multiple rumors over the past few weeks that the new LG Nexus would be called the Nexus 5X but there was no hard evidence until now.
This is also Huawei’s first time to produce a Nexus phone.
The Nexus 5 owners, who got exhausted of waiting for the official release date of the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow, can now install a custom ROM that the xTRaSmooth community has released.
Meanwhile, if you’re interested in seeing what the boxes of the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will look like, images have also appeared online to satisfy your curiosity. The availability of this much storage for users will be the first in the Nexus lineup of mobile devices, which will make it a match for its competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6s.
The firm has not provided any clues on what to expect that day and, except for the invite, there was nothing in the news to suggest that Google was planning something for Sept 29 before now.
The Nexus 6P, on the other hand, will boast more powerful innards, like a 3,500mAh battery.
The second update to the hugely successful Chromecast will come with a new design (as seen from a leaked image) and include some upgrades as well. According to a “trusted source” of Android Police, the Nexus (2015) sports a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080p resolution, a USB Type-C port, 2,700 mAh battery, and 12.3MP camera on the back and 5MP on the front.
In terms of internal storage, Google has not favoured expandable storage via microSD in previous generations of Nexus smartphone.
Google will reportedly be announcing the Nexus 6P, and smaller model 5X, on September 29th, so stay tuned.
