IOS 9 now available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Considering the millions of iOS device users attempting to update today, we would almost expect a certain level of iOS 9 problems according to normal patterns.

Photo Transfer App has a variety of features, including bidirectional wireless photo transfer (to and from a Mac or Windows system), as well as intra-iOS transfer (via Bluetooth). – Navigation: From the main home screen, swipe left to right for a new search screen. Now, you’ll hear it over and over – though that might just encourage you to stay in bed. The new OS will strengthen the passcode. Changes start to appear when you delve further into the OS.
Apple has also included some iPad-specific goodies in iOS 9. – Gone: The Newsstand icon disappears, replaced by an unrelated News service. Depending upon the publications and topics, the app will curate a list of news stories for the user.
Discover joins the lineup of credit cards accepted via Apple Pay. You could click a link in the show notes in your podcast app, read it in Safari and return to the podcast app quickly by tapping the Back to Podcasts link. No matter what other apps you use, the video will continue playing.
As for picture-in-picture mode, when using FaceTime or watching a video, pressing the Home button will shrink the video to a small window on one of the corners of your tablet. It works only with a few video apps for now, but more are coming.
The keyboard has seen a slight tweak, and buttons are now better placed for those with fat fingers. If you really want the latest and greatest and your budget only stretches to a 16GB model, then you have to cut your cloth accordingly. In other places, there is still some time before the updates commence.
When you’re ready, go to “General“, then “Software Update” in the settings. “Our users want the ability to easily visualize their ideas with people in the room and those working remotely, and mobile devices provide the perfect way to capture content and creativity in real-time”.
You also need an iPhone or an iPad released in 2011 or later, or an iPod Touch since 2012.
But it may take a while before you benefit from some of the most important features in the new software.
Apple says that ain’t so, and that it optimized this year’s upgrade to iOS 9-available as a free update Wednesday, with new capabilities and power savings-to work even on devices that came out in 2011.
