IPhone 6S Leak Reveals Tough New Design
While Apple downplayed the issue, a considerable number of people, including me, accidentally bent the iPhone 6 with a surprising amount of ease. A leaked shell for the iPhone 6s allegedly shows that Apple has addressed bending concerns by making the device considerably thicker. The overall size of the device is said to be slightly bigger compared to the iPhone 6, which doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple will use a larger display on board but merely that there might be some new sensors and hardware underneath.
Specifically, the back plate for the claimed iPhone 6S measured 138.2mm tall by 67.16mm wide while the current iPhone 6 casing comes in at 138.09mm tall by 66.91mm wide in the video comparison.
Though the iPhone 6 and 6Plus sales have not been as roaring as some of the previous Apple models, news is already circulating that the company is preparing to launch a brand new iPhone 7 around the same time as the new iOS9 public release and the iPhone 6S with its new pressure sensing display.
Apple somehow managed to do this and make the shell of its new phone two grams lighter than the iPhone 6’s shell.

In meticulous testing the site found the company has reinforced some of the weaker points of the iPhone 6 backplate by adding more material near the volume buttons and the home buttons. That’s in part due to a thicker and stronger design, according to a video published by Lewis Hilsenteger, the man behind YouTube channel “Unbox Therapy“.
