Judge blocks release of recordings by anti-abortion group
In a complaint filed on Friday in San Francisco federal court, the National Abortion Federation, a nonprofit representing abortion providers, accused the Center for Medical Progress and its founder David Daleiden of violating federal racketeering law through their pro-life campaign. His parroting of Planned Parenthood serves as a model of a kangaroo court, where the judge personally knows the murderer of a child and decides to dismiss the case without hearing either the prosecuting attorney’s arguments or the witnesses. Her first job, as a lobbyist for the Women’s Rights Coalition, was funded in part by Planned Parenthood.
Letters from the health department to the three Indiana facilities dated Tuesday and released to the media by Planned Parenthood said the agency had completed its investigation into the Planned Parenthood facilities that perform abortions in Indiana.
The selling of fetal organs for profit and the altering medical procedures to ensure organs are available are both illegal and unethical. Unfortunately, the only reason Planned Parenthood is eligible to receive foreign funds is because President Obama overturned the Mexico City Policy, which was put back in place during Bush’s administration.
The undercover video released Thursday shows Dr. Savita Ginde, vice president of Denver-based Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, apparently discussing prices of aborted fetal remains, the center says. In Southwest and Central Florida, Planned Parenthood serves more than 30,000 mainly low-income patients providing affordable care.
The Center for Medical Progress released other videos, most recently on July 30. The group also says the representatives in the videos were discussing reimbursement for the costs incurred for donating the fetal tissue. The National Abortion Federation also contended the release of new footage could endanger individuals captured on video.
In its description of the judge’s order, NAF said the judge had suppressed “recordings and materials [CMP] illegally obtained at NAF’s educational meetings”.
A spokesperson for Gov. Kate Brown issued a terse, one-sentence statement in response to questions about the videos.
But what’s at stake here is government’s overreaction to videos that show a manipulated version of the facts.
Senator Paul told the crowd in Waterloo that his bill is getting a vote Monday night in D.C. Even with all the publicity, the outcome is up in the air. Although we expect more videos to surface over the coming weeks, there is now no substantial evidence to support illegal acts. “Furthermore, we will not support any funding measure that provides taxpayer dollars for this organization”.
“It’s clear that anti-abortion extremists don’t care at all about the impact their actions have on the health and well-being of women, men and young people, ” Goodhue said in a statement.
