Kasich wants different structure for state school board
“It’s up to me to tell people about me and not be worrying about somebody else”, Kasich said during an interview with Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press“.
Kasich took a different tack during his first presidential rally in Nashua, New Hampshire, last month when he said that “a handful of billionaires should not decide who is president”. So far, he’s treated his biggest liability in the GOP primary-his enthusiastic expansion of Medicaid in Ohio, offered by Obamacare-as an asset.
Kasich said we should “wipe out ISIS once and for all“.
Kasich also discussed moving away from his support for ending birthright citizenship, stating the move was because “I don’t believe it should be a fundamental part of this whole thing because I think it remains dividing people, to be honest with you“.
But Kasich’s relatively unknown candidacy means his position in the field could change as Republicans get to know him better. The next day, speaking with reporters, he shook his head at the suggestion he was targeting Bush. That’s up from 11th place (at 1 percent) in March.
But, “once the wall is finished, anybody who comes across illegally – they’re going back”, he said.

“I’m here to see what he’s like”, said Larry Jordan, a retired Marine. “Let these people who were born here be citizens, and that’s the end of it. I don’t want to dwell there anymore”.
Mr. Kasich has a television media buy here, but the emphasis will be at the grass-roots, with organizations in towns rather than in counties.
“Little banks are being wolfed up”, stated Kasich.
