Katy Perry’s Presidential Ambitions: Singer Poses With Two Former Presidents
Will Katy Perry be running for president? Pity, because only Katy Perry has the power to bump Donald Trump out of the news cycle. The pop star posed for photos with the pair shortly after performing on Sunday at the annual Starkey Hearing Foundation’s So The World May Hear Gala at the St. Paul River Centre in Minnesota.
According to tax filings, the Eden Prairie, Minn.-based foundation gave $3.5 million from 2006 to 2013 to nonprofits associated with Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
The foundation, which provides more than 175,000 free hearing aids annually around the world, honored President Bush this year, while President Clinton’s Global Initiative is one of the foundation’s major supporters. Et, voilà: a presidential twofer.
Katy then found herself smiling ear-to-ear alongside the aforementioned Commanders-in-Chief, joking on social media that she may contemplate an Oval Office run at some point. I think we can all agree “Roar” would make for a fine campaign song.
Off to make our Perry-Left Shark 2020 bumper stickers.
