Konami Remove Kojima’s Name From Metal Gear Solid V Cover
The game is the last collaboration between Kojima Productions and Konami.
Hideo Kojima made the decision to recast Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The strategy guide will be published in a standard paperback format, and a limited hardcover collector’s edition.
Konami Company is now finding ways to maintain “MGS V”, and the way it is being restructured for the preparation on Kojima Production’s exit is a telltale sign that they plan to keep the game on.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain comes to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on September 1.
Konami have already received backlash over the removal of Hideo Kojima and they are sure to receive much more after this.
We’re excited. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain promises to be a spectacular entry to the series, perhaps its finest, and NVIDIA is expected to work their magic and optimise their drivers as well as lend their expertise in the port of the PC version.
“I want to reassure fans that I am 100% involved and will continue working on ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, ‘ I’m determined to make it the greatest game I’ve directed to date”, Kojima said about the game. September’s “Metal Gear” game may have lost its director’s name, but that sacrifice might have saved any other projects that follow it.
Most notably the words “A Hideo Kojima Game” are no longer displayed above the title at the top of the box. With thousands of video games played, eight years of writing experience under his belt, and two awesome trips to E3 he claims were “next level”, he seeks to inform and entertain with his unique insights on the gaming industry. Does it matter that “Metal Gear Solid V” may not feature the Kojima Productions name? Since the release of “Metal Gear Solid” in 1998, Kojima has been synonymous with high quality gameplay and cinematic beauty.
They did the same for Ground Zeroes, and that worked out pretty well for us.
