McConnell: ‘Gender card’ alone not enough for Clinton
McConnell defeated Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes by 15 percentage points, winning reelection to the U.S. Senate.
Speaking at a Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce in Shepherdsville, Ky., the Republican said of Clinton that “first of all, I don’t think arguing “vote for me because I’m a woman” is enough”. “But the question is, a woman president to do what?”

Clinton’s campaign touted her response on Twitter, adding that “and that’s why you don’t try to pick a fight on women’s economic security with Hillary Clinton“. Clinton responded on Facebook when asked by a Huffington Post reporter during an online question and answer session. She then criticized Republicans for their stances on affordable child care, family leave, and women’s health.
McConnell said there’s “not a dime’s worth of difference between Clinton and President Barack Obama”.
He called it a flawed strategy that the Republican presidential nominee can exploit.
