New ‘Apple Watch Hermes’ models hit stores

Tech giant Apple began sales of its newly launched watch named Apple Watch Hermes on Monday, reports Reuters. All Target stores will have select models and bands in stock, while a wider range of Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport models will be available on the retailer’s website. Target announced the arrival of Apple Watches in a blog post on October. 2.

The Apple Watch is already available from Best Buy, and Target is now the second large retail chain in the U.S.to start carrying the smartwatch as well.

As the name suggests, the Double Tour wraps twice around your wrist. These are needed for the assembly of the lug and cost $12.65 for a unit. The brown and black straps are available with a 42mm watch while the red only comes with a 38mm version. Finally, the $1,500 Cuff is only made for the 42mm stainless steel Apple Watch, and only comes in a fauve-colored calf leather. The official guidelines from Apple do not just specify the dimensions of the watch band, but also standards of the material being used, the functionality and durability. With the watch featuring a classic-looking face with hands, it appeared to be more evidence that Apple wanted consumers to see the product as primarily a fancy new watch but with wonderful hidden technical extras. Although the watches are available for in-store purchase only, the sheer beauty of the timepiece is something you want to experience in person.
