Nina Dobrev says heartfelt farewell to ‘Vampire Diaries’ fans
“Change. That’s a scary word”.
Nina Dobrev might not be on “The Vampire Diaries” anymore, but she is still getting awards for it. The actress won the Choice TV actress: Sci-fi/Fantasy category at Fox’s 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
However, Dobrev is leaving the programme this year (15), and she took the time to say goodbye to her fans and castmates during her acceptance speech at the Los Angeles prizegiving. We wouldn’t be here without you. “New beginnings with a future that was unknown”. “Necessary for you to grow up and learn and to better yourself, becauase everything in life comes to an end”. “And as this chapter of my life comes to an end, I look back at it with a grateful heart and I smile”, she explained. After thanking the audience, the actress took them out on the stage, realising it was hard to talk with them in mouth. As with her character, Dobrev has grown up from a young lady into a woman over the course of the last six years. To close out her speech, Dobrev offered up what some might consider a cryptic message about the fact that change is coming and that her fans should be on the lookout for what is coming next. Maybe it just slipped Nina’s mind in the moment.
Sparkle with sequins like Nina The 2015 Teen Selection Award blue carpet is show star studded, which exclusively means a carpet filled with fashion do’s & don’ts…to date, we have been noticing the do’s! “I wouldn’t be here without you, and I wouldn’t be here without Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson”, Ms. Dobrev said.
The actress, who played Elena as well as several other roles on the CW drama, also noted the show was a big part of her life. “So thank you guys, each and every single one of you”. So hold on and enjoy the ride.
We will, however, be taking Dobrev’s advice and hanging onto the next season of The Vampire Diaries for dear life, because how could a show about the Salvatore brothers not be fun?
