Nitish poses seven questions to PM
He said even George Fernandes, former associate of Nitish Kumar, and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, were not treated well by him even though they had worked shoulder-to-shoulder with him.
The prime minister said his government’s agenda was to develop eastern India including Bihar.
Earlier, Prime Minister arrived here on a day-long visit, during which he is scheduled to address a public meeting in Muzaffarpur to kick-start party’s campaign for the upcoming state assembly polls.
“Meine jo Bihar ke janata se vada kiya tha usse age bad ke nibhayun ga sahi samay par (I’ll deliver more than I had promised to people of Bihar at the right time)”, he said.
He recalled that when came to the state before last year’s Lok Sabha elections, he had announced that Bihar will be given a special package of Rs 50,000 crore.
Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “According to the Prime Minister, the first necessity for knowledge is light”.
The Prime Minister further said he had come to promise 24 hours electricity to the people of Bihar.
He said that his government’s priority was to usher in four-prong revolutions in tune with the four colours- saffron, green, white and blue in the national flag. Din Dayal Rashtriya Gram and Sahri Jyoti Yojana, an ambitious rural electrification scheme is likely to be announced by Modi.
He will also inaugurate the Suvidha Train between Patna and Mumbai and the Daniyawan Biharsharif rail line.
He dedicated the permanent campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna to the nation and an incubation centre for medical electronics.
Addressing the massive crowds at Parivartan Rally in Muzaffarpur, PM Modi said, “Some leaders of Bihar who used to make fun of tweeting, are now doing it themselves”.
Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh were present on the occasion.
