Paul: Obama-hugging Christie ‘misunderstands Bill of Rights’
The union said that Christie is little more than a bully with anger management problems – one unfit to serve public office in any capacity, much less as president.
“I will make no apologies, ever, for protecting the lives and the safety of the American people“, Christie began.
“Every time you did a case, you got a warrant from a judge”, Paul said.
Paul was third, Gov. Mike Huckabee was fourth, and then Christie was the fifth most discussed candidate. The rest can be seen on the video below. Rand Paul: “Hey, look, look!” Among those unfavorable voters who mention something pertaining to honesty, the second-highest reason at 10 percent, many outright call Christie a “liar” and believe he “does not keep his promises”. “‘I want to collect more records from terrorists but less records from other people.’ How are you supposed to know Megyn?” To paraphrase Nathan Hale, “I regret that I have only one face to give for my profession”. Paul ended up looking like his dad (and again, I’m inclined to agree with him), and Christie ended up looking like an empathetic leader. But he kept his balance, |and came back strong: “Senator Paul, you know, the hugs that I remember are the hugs that I gave to the families who lost their people on September 11th … and those had nothing to do with politics”. “It could have worked” in the U.S.at one point, Trump said.
“They say we’re outspoken, we need to take lessons from Donald Trump”, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said when Wallace asked him to critique Trump’s assertion.
On Fox News, Brit Hume singled out an exchange between Kentucky Sen.
Avoiding the debate’s testy back and forth were Florida Sen.
Paul rolled his eyes, and debate moderators moved on to another question.
Paul immediately accused him of “hedging his bet on the Clintons”.
After an incendiary answer from Trump about his widely condemned comments about immigrants from Mexico, Rubio displayed his command of the issue by telling the crowed at Quicken Loans Arena that immigrants who live in the U.S. illegally are from Central American nations such as Guatemala and El Salvador, and are overstaying their legally obtained visas – as opposed to sneaking over the border. “The fact is, in the eight years before I became governor, taxes and fees were raised at the state level 115 times, spending was increased 56 percent (and) there was zero net private sector job growth”.
When Baier said an independent run would aid presumed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Trump said, “I fully understand”.
