Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not interested in Premier League switch
Today, more on the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang….
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang insists he will not leave Borussia Dortmund this summer despite being linked with Arsenal, Tottenham and PSG.
Aubameyang has been heavily linked with an exit in recent weeks, with earlier reports claiming that the Gunners have already had one bid rejected for the 26-year-old. The Gabon worldwide has put in some impressive performances last season, scoring at total of 25 goals for the Bundesliga club. Dortmund have offered the player a contract extension, but would prefer a move to England, according to the report.
But both clubs will have a tough time persuading Dortmund to sell as sporting director Michael Zorc has been quoted by France Football as saying the striker is not for sale.
“I’ve heard a lot about this [a transfer to Arsenal or Internazionale] but I can say very clearly that it is blocked for him”.
Tottenham are prepared to offload strikers Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor over the summer, and the acquisition of Aubameyang would signify a significant increase in the quality of the front-line.
As for Arsenal and Spurs, the former finished third in the Premier League and retained the FA Cup, whilst the latter finished fifth, just outside the Champions League qualification slots.
