Raj Thackeray calls Salman Khan ‘a man without brains’
Tiger Memon a prime accused in Mumbai serial blasts of 1993 has rang his family shortly before hanging Yakub Memon, an accused in the case and brother of Tiger Memon.
He said that parliamentary role of the Jamaat – Islami in Azad Jammu Kashmir was important for carrying freedom movement to its logical end. Everyone including the political parties got offended over the tweets.
Thackeray continued, “Then there are people who sent letters to the President seeking mercy for the traitor”. Raj Thackeray is quoted to have said.
“In this dark hour, it is a matter of great satisfaction that so many Hindus including many luminaries and other highly distinguished Hindu citizens spoke up and asked the Supreme Court and the President to grant clemency to Yakub Memon and commute his death sentence”.
Lashing out at superstar for defending 1993 Mumbai blasts convict, the 47-year-old firebrand leader Thackeray has termed Salman Khan a man without brain. “But giving general statements won’t help anybody except his party workers who really need a pep talk to boost their morale after losing relevance in the state post their disastrous performance in the state Assembly elections”, he said. The actor chose to speak only about Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We can’t wait to see how Salamn reacts to this. While Salman tweeted in favour of Yakub and questioned the hanging on Twitter, at a recent party gathering, Raj raised this issue. Thus, he went on tweeting in favour of Yakub. The Bodyguard later clarified that he meant Yakub shouldn’t be hanged for the crime, which Tiger Memon has committed. Soon after the controversy Salim Khan came publicly and talked about it in an interview. He also said that his son should have not tweeted about something he has very little knowledge, it was his foolishness.
Aamir Khan and Salman Khan snapped with Raj Thackeray.
Later, on facing a backlash on social media, Salman retracted his tweets.
