At the Galaxy Unpacked event held yesterday, Samsung finally announced the Galaxy Note 5 and the curved screen Galaxy S6 Edge+ after a deluge of leaks about the devices had revealed nearly all of their specs and features.
Samsung has unveiled two high-end smartphones, both featuring a massive screen, as well as a mobile payments system – all tactics to compete better with longtime rival Apple and its iPhone 6 success.
The S6 Edge+ also has fast-charging, which according to the company will charge in two hours and it offer wireless charging.
Packing Android 5.1 Lollipop, the phablet-sized phone has a 16MP camera on the back and 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies.

The fingerprint authentication can be used with the Samsung Pay service, planned to launch soon in Korea and the US.

Samsung said the Galaxy Note 5 will only be made available in select markets, while the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will feature wider availability.
