Samsung opens new Device Solutions headquarters in Silicon Valley
Samsung’s President of its Device Solutions America operations, Jaesoo Han, said, “Today represents a major milestone as we open our most strategically important Samsung facility in the USA and also our biggest investment in Silicon Valley“.

“On behalf of the San Jose city council and city administration, I congratulate Samsung on the opening of its strikingly handsome new headquarters on North First Street where hundreds of employees will continue to drive innovation in its semiconductor business for many more decades to come”, Liccardo said. Samsung may be facing hard times in the smartphone industry, the product category it’s most well-known for in the United States, but these new offices should give it a little more visibility in the tech world.
Samsung has just flung open the doors of its flashy new Silicon Valley headquarters, located just seven miles down the road from arch-rival Apple.
The 1.1-million-square-foot campus will combine various research labs for the company’s semiconductor, LED, and display businesses. “Samsung’s goal is nothing less than to develop the best next‐generation technologies for device solutions”.
Samsung is making a big push to hire engineers and other people in Silicon Valley. They will support the Silicon Valley community, by donating $100,000 to the Family Giving Tree and another $100,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank. It will also establish a Dollars 1 million STEM College Education Scholarship Fund, beginning with a UAS 50,000 gift to San Jose State University this year. Each scholarship will cover tuition and living expenses for one year.
