Sen. Lindsey Graham posts humorous video in response to Trump
Trump has spoken in incendiary terms about illegal immigrants, describing them as criminals and rapists in his announcement speech.
Like it or not, Donald Trump is leading the GOP pack in the race to the White House – and news legend Dan Rather says Trump is a star.
Montgomery said Trump’s attack on McCain’s military service was based on ignorance. “I mean, it is our party”, Graham said.
Trump responded during his speech by calling Graham an “idiot” and a “lightweight”. He then read Graham’s cell phone aloud to the crowd.
It’s even encouraging other Republicans to repudiate Trump’s insults.
“He’s just making that story up like he makes a lot of things up”, Graham said Wednesday afternoon on CNN.
A statement by his campaign said, “For instance, they have boxes once a certain number is reached that simply state $50 million or more“.
“Probably getting a new phone. iPhone or Android?” he asked his followers.
Striking back, Graham on Wednesday uploaded a video on YouTube through IJ Review titled “How to destroy your cell phone with Sen. You want to talk about temperament I’ll introduce you to the Chinese; they have temperament”. “He’s becoming a jackass at a time when we need to have a serious debate about the future of the party and the country”, said Graham, who is a friend of McCain’s.
Rand Paul printed out the federal tax code, cut it with a chainsaw, shoved the papers into a wood chipper and, yes, set it on fire.
Earlier this week, the outspoken businessman received heavy criticism after giving out the mobile phone number of a rival at a campaign rally.
Other rivals commented on the furor, too.
The back-and-forth is the latest chapter in an ongoing feud between Trump and those who criticize him.
Yet Trump, who has become a dominant force in the 2016 contest, has clearly stated, over and over again, that Mexican immigrants are unwelcome. No doubt, tons of people blew up his phone trying to see if the number was real.
On July 8, the head of the Republican National Committee spent almost an hour on the phone with Trump, urging him to tone down his controversial remarks. “Given recent history, all I expect is a deafening silence”.
Haley called for the return of a civil tone in the campaign, singling out Trump.
The storm over Trump is proving to be fodder for Democrats.
“John stood up and basically said, ‘I’m not going to respond to Donald Trump, ‘” recalled Sen. “The more Mr. Trump is being beaten on by people, obviously the better his polling numbers are”.
