Several reportedly injured in large explosion at Bronx High School
It’s unclear what sparked the explosion.
Two of the three injured people suffered serious injuries, but none are considered life threatening, WCBS reported.
Witnesses said the blast rattled windows and set off car alarms, according to ABC News station WABC-TV.

A spokeswoman for the city’s Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Mayor de Blasio, who arrived at the scene late on Thursday night, said the project was being run by the school construction authority through a private contractor. Custodial workers in the building described the explosion.
The three injured were taken to hospitals.
The names of the construction workers injured in the Bronx explosion were not released to the media.
“This was a very troubling evening for residents here in Marble Hill”, Mayor de Blasio said about the neighborhood settled on the Bronx border.
“Keep 1st responders & victims in your thoughts”, (sic) he said.
School was not in session at the time of the incident; the school year is scheduled to begin Sept. 9.
