Apple reported Monday a record 13 million in sales of its new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models in the first three days after launch. That shatters the previous record set a year ago, when the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sold 10 million units the first weekend they hit stores.

One day later, on October 10, Apple will launch the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Apple gave us a heads up that it was expecting a huge weekend opener for its new flagships: the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The way I like to think of it is as a positive feedback loop: the faster Apple can grow its sales, the better it can afford to make its iPhones while still delivering increased profits to its stockholders.

Overall, it appears that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have seen measured improvements in water resistance over last year’s models, but complete submergence under liquids up to a few feet will still cause the new devices to meet their demise.
