The new Apple TV is coming in September
We’re expecting a lot of rather monumental changes. It may come along with the iPhone event. Of course, there are many other rumors out there, as well, but things will only be confirmed when Apple will officially release its upcoming iPhone.
But the New York Times reported before the conference that the new Apple TV wasn’t ready yet, and the announcement would be delayed.
There is no update to Apple TV since 2012. We mentioned this report looks credible since it was Buzzfeed which had mentioned about Apple’s WWDC plans. The blog also shared pictures of the device’s Lightning connector and headphone jack assembly, rear facing camera rings and home button enclosure. The iPhone 6 comes in at 5.9mm.
We often see older devices get left behind after two years of software support. People would want an iPhone 6c to sell for $349 or at the same price as the Apple Watch.
After my iPhone and MacBook, the next most-used Apple device I own isn’t my iPad Air 2-it’s my Apple TV. Apparently the current design of the device – which hasn’t been refreshed since 2012 – is similar to the previous model, but slimmer.
The A9 processor is reportedly being upgraded from 1GB to 2GB. Instead, the tech giant unveiled the streaming music service Apple Music. The report claims that Apple’s supply chain partners started shipping Force Touch panels in limited quantities in June before ramping up production of the pressure-sensitive modules in July. That adds weight to the idea that the new iPhone will arrive before the end of the third quarter.
Now the new Apple TV, if Buzzfeed report is to be believed, will have to share stage time with some new iPhones at Apple’s September event, which is usually reserved for unveiling phones.
Tony Zhan, 32, holds up his new iPhone 6 Plus after it went on sale at the Apple store in Pasadena, California September 19, 2014.
A leaked memo from UK carrier Vodafone had the same dates for the release of the iPhone. The unnamed source shared the photo of the iPhone shell and the devices logic board with 9to5Mac, revealing an updated Qualcomm LTE chip which will offer faster LTE speed and greater energy efficiency.
