Turkish President Erdogan visiting Pakistan today
“We would wait for nothing if it were thought that a coalition government would be in favor of Turkey“, Erdoğan told reporters while heading to Indonesia from China as part of a visit to East Asia.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will arrive in Pakistan on Saturday and meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss matters of bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
He added that the Assad regime employs all kinds of dirty means in the conflict, including the use of chemical weapons and ballistic missiles as well as collaborating with terrorist organizations in the struggle against its people.
“The terrorist organization Daesh is a product of such a perception, such a project”.
Erdogan also used his speech in Jakarta to criticise countries trying to “pass the blame to Turkey” because they couldn’t keep track of their own citizens travelling overseas to fight with IS militants.
Erdogan called for closer cooperation against xenophobia, discrimination and Islamophobia.
This organization has become of special importance for Turkey following India’s and Pakistan’s decision to join the SCO, he said.
Erdogan said Turkey was a country which had reached the democratic standards of the European Union, adding “that is why we can stand strong against all the threatening and chaotic environments that are circling our country”.
