Umpqua CC Shooter is Chris Harper Mercer 26-year-old Mentally Ill Person

Because of 4chan’s anonymity, it’s impossible to say whether the poster who warned “don’t go to school tomorrow if you are in the northwest” actually was Chris Harper-Mercer, identified as the person who shot nine people to death at Umpqua Community College the next day before being killed by police.

‘Only his was at least a bit more interesting’.

In the wake of the mass shooting, the murderer left behind a host of questions, along with a trail on social media that can help people piece together a profile on who the killer was and what his motives were.

Harper-Mercer lived a lonely life, according to neighbors who watched him grow from a quiet boy to a “mad” teenager who usually wore combat-like black boots and camouflage trousers. The owner of the building said he did not know them, and neighbors did not recall them. She said she believed he took it to El Camino College. Switzer Learning Center, a school for emotionally disturbed students in Torrance, is a nonpublic school that accepts children as young as third grade.

He initially opened fire in an English class, she said.

All the guns were legally obtained by the shooter or family members over the past three years through a federally licensed firearms dealer, she said.

About that time, his father filed for divorce from his mother, citing irreconcilable differences.

Pictures show Harper-Mercer standing with slouched shoulders in a grey vest-top. She apparently contributed to online forums dealing with health issues. Someone has already set up other fake social media accounts, such as a Facebook page calling Harper Mercer their hero, and a fake Harper Mercer Twitter account.

Harper-Mercer used a screen name on a dating profile which refers to a war medal handed out to soldiers of the Third Reich, bought replica SS military gear online and glorified the IRA’s masked terrorists.

The user left the review: “I have received my order”. It said he enjoyed horror movies, and under hobbies, it listed “killing zombies” along with the “Internet” and other pursuits.

In a blog post linked to Mercer, he said he relished the headlines garnered by Vester Flanagan after killing two television journalists in Virginia earlier this year.
