United States drone kills six suspected militants in Pakistan
A USA drone strike is reported to have killed six militants in a tribal region of northwestern Pakistan.
Warplanes bombarded the Shawal Valley yesterday, killing at least 15 suspected militants, intelligence officials told Reuters.
The deadly bombing occurred in the mountainous Khyber district where Pakistani security forces are conducting counter-militancy operations.
“Fifteen militants were killed and eight injured in the attacks”, media outlets quoted an unmanned military official as saying.
Residents of the area rushed to the site and pulled out the bodies from the debris.

Pakistan has been waging a major offensive against insurgent hideouts in the tribal northwest for over a year in a bid to quell an Islamist insurgency that has raged for more than a decade.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claims responsibility for attack. Further, security officials cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
“Overall, three police personnel were martyred and seven officers were wounded, and one sniffer dog also sustained injuries”, Saeed said.
