Victoria Justice Presents Teen Choice Award To Her ‘Doppelgänger’ Nina Dobrev
The actress quit “The Vampire Diaries” after playing the main female protagonist, Elena Gilbert, for six seasons.
Nina Dobrev won her last Teen Choice Award for “The Vampire Diaries” at the 2015 show – at least for the foreseeable future.
The Vampire Diaries was also awarded Choice TV Show: Sci-fi/Fantasy and Choice TV: Liplock for an onscreen smooch between Dobrev and her real life ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, who was not present at the ceremony. On the other hand, if someone new is introduced gently and gradually, this could be played off in an interesting way – before fans know it, they could have someone new in place of Elena, being just as attached to the new character as they were to her predecessor. And the Teen Choice Award acceptance speech ended up being her farewell speech. Necessary for you to grow, and to learn, and to better yourself, because everything in life comes to an end. “And, as this chapter in my life comes to an end, I look back at it with a grateful heart, and I smile”. To close out her speech, Dobrev offered up what some might consider a cryptic message about the fact that change is coming and that her fans should be on the lookout for what is coming next. “We’ve grown up and over the last six years we’ve become women”. While this may have been a sad reminder to her fans that she was no longer a member of The Vampire Diaries cast, she quickly grew serious. Maybe it just slipped Nina’s mind in the moment.

Dobrev added: “These are six incredible years that I’ve had the pleasure of sharing with all of you guys”. They changed my life with this role.
“Thank you guys. Each and every single one of you, I love you”, she said. Hold on and enjoy the ride.
Nina Dobrev is off “The Vampire Diaries” for good, and the situation is pretty much final at this point.
