Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Striker would make Milan contenders, says Sinisa Mihajlovic
AC Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic refused to rule out a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after the Paris Saint-Germain striker was linked with a move back to Italy.
Mihajlovic – who replaced Filippo Inzaghi in June – was reluctant to comment on the speculation around Ibrahimovic but said he would love to see the 33-year-old back at in the famous red and black shirt.
“I can say anything about a transfer”.
If Ibrahimovic came in, we’d be serious candidates to win the Scudetto. “He’s a player who can tip the scales”.
Mihajlovic coached Romagnoli at Sampdoria last season and is very keen on the player, though Milan’s hesitancy to meet Roma’s demands has opened the door to other potential bidders, such as Arsenal.
“We signed some important players like Luiz Adriano and (Carlos) Bacca…We have been working together a month and we are at a good point”.
‘I was surprised by the young players.
The experienced yet slow Alex and the inexperienced Rodrigo Ely were the starting central-defensive partnership for Milan’s China tour.
“We need a couple of reinforcements, we will take [Alessio] Romagnoli”, he said, speaking ahead of his side’s involvement in the Audi Cup, cited by Forza Italian Football. He is left-footed and knows how to build up a game.’.
