Krysten Ritter In Marvel’s New Netflix Series ‘Jessica Jones’
The images that came out with the first official sneak peek include Krysten Ritter as the titular Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Rachael Tayler as Patsy Walker, and Carrie Anne Moss as Harper. Fun fact: In the comics, the character is called Purple Man, hence the scarf here. He has ties to Jessica’s past and “sends shockwaves” through her life when he resurfaces. It’s not clear if that will be the case in the Jessica Jones series, but Cage is one of her closest allies on the show. He utilizes a particularly gross form of mind control to his advantage. A collection of photos from the show have been released, introducing the characters you’ll get to know rather well.

But c’mon, guys…Hellcat, right?
Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight) acts as showrunner for Jessica Jones, with Liz Friedman and Jeph Loeb also executive producing. Jones hung up her cape after a horrific accident, but we reckon Kilgarve might be able to tempt her out of retirement!
Eka Darville is Malcolm, “a neighbor of Jessica’s whose life will cross with the private detective’s in a surprising way”. Do you think Krysten makes a good Jessica? (Marvel’s Daredevil, which launched April 10th, Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders) to premiere on Netflix November 20th.
The series takes many of its cues from the Brian Michael Bendis-written comic book Alias.
