Niall Horan insists One Direction still have lots to achieve
One Direction star Liam Payne today thanked fans for “the most awesome five years” but reassured them that although they are taking a break the boyband is not splitting up – saying: “There’s so much more to come”. His bandmate Louis Tomlinson similarly said in his own tweet, “Your support is truly indescribable!” The band will finish promoting their fifth album together, but will not follow up their promotional duties with a tour. The singers took to their Twitter page to address the news and confirmed that the boys will take a break next year. Horan also told One Directioners not to worry and that band “still have lots we want to achieve”.
Niall teased fans with details of a new setlist, which will be coming for future concerts and added: “Some new songs as the tor continues!”
One Direction will be taking a break sometime next year.
The members of British boy band One Direction have chose to go their separate ways after the release of their fifth album this year. It could mean they’ll get back together for a reunion tour when they’re all in their 70s.
The guys have all stressed that they have tons more exciting projects in the works, and just really need a bit of a rest after their hectic schedule.
Now all we’re waiting for is Harry Styles’ statement.
The announcement of their 2016 hiatus comes five months after Zayn Malik quit the pop group to pursue solo interests. Yes, they’ll be taking a break… but it won’t be permanent.
However, Rolling Stone magazine claims that a spokesperson for the highly-successful band declined to comment.
ONE Direction will “disband” in March. However, he didn’t confirm any split among the band members.
A flood of reports then suggested the group were on the verge of breaking up but Payne thanked their devoted fans who are known as “directionsers” for sticking with the band and “not thinking it’s finished”.
